We need at least £1 million every year to fund our life-changing information and advice services. Much of this comes from individual members of the public, with 86% of the gifts we receive being of £20 or less. As such, our work is made possible by your collective generosity in a very real way.
Clicking on the Donate Online button (below) will take you to our secure donations page where you can make either a one off gift by credit/debit card, or a regular monthly gift by direct debit.
Regular gifts from as little as £3 a month are especially valuable to us as they help us to plan ahead with confidence. This is important when funding ongoing services such as our Helpline. But we are grateful for any gift of whatever size you can afford.

What our advice costs
- £3 pays for us to respond to a typical call to our Helpline and mail out any information requested.
- £20 covers the full operating costs of our Helpline for half an hour. In that time, trained advisors could answer up to seven enquiries.
Every year, DLF's Helpline advisors speak with over 10,000 callers.
Gift Aid it!
If you are a UK tax payer, don't forget to select the Gift Aid option. This can increase the value of your donation by 25%. For example, a gift of £20 would be worth £25 to us at no extra cost to you!
