Consent, Dignity and Safeguarding – issues and implications for processes and practice
Safeguarding the interests of the individual requiring assistance or complete intervention. Application of the right technique or use of equipment requires consent and this is an important issue facing professionals when moving and handling people. Care must be delivered in a way which preserves their dignity and safety. Due to the clients health or ability to understand information, this presentation will provide thought for discussion and guidance for moving and handling practitioners.
